Microsoft is exploring the use of ChatGPT in robots.
⚠️#IMPORTANT: Microsoft is testing what happens when ChatGPT takes control of robots.
Microsoft researcher: "Our goal with this research is to see if ChatGPT can think beyond text, and reason about the physical world to help with robotics tasks."

This is another recent AI development when it comes to the moves by tech titans.
Within 5 months of release, we’ve seen ChatGPT transition from being our virtual buddy, to potentially being our IRL roomie in the coming months 🤯
I know this newsletter is to help you stay with the latest, even I need my source to keep up because of so many developments on all fronts
Just imagine being able to converse with it IRL.
I hope you have your bunkers ready if the GPT-Bots do an “I, Robot” on us 🫣.

2. Ready, Player One?
If you’ve watched the movie, it’s not doubt that it made you eager for all the futuristic innovation to come.
And the crazy thing is, even though this technology has been around for a while, we’re truly seeing innovation and the “future” being carve out in real time.
Take a look at these examples from Teflon Sega:

Industries like gaming will see great impact from technology like this.
Just thinking about Augmented Reality and Immersive technology reminded me of this YouTube video I watched years ago showing Meleap’s HADO game:
Even though Web3 has suffered due to manipulation and bad actors (as in everything else), I think things are lining perfectly.
With public AI & Immersive technology advancing rapidly, coupling it with Web3 for digital rewards,
If you’re a gamer like me, and have played Assassin’s Creed, you'd remember ‘The Animus’.
If you don’t know about it, don’t worry, it is a VR machine that “allows the user to read a subject's genetic memory and project the output onto an external screen in three dimensions“, as the Assassin’s Creed Wiki.
But currently works as with current technology.
It’s a teeeeensy bit misleading since you currently need record with the headset, which then maps it in real time. The team are working to turn your existing images and videos into these immersive memories.
Your memories — how you remember them

There have been mixed sentiment online regarding this.
Some plainly commenting “Black Mirror” and other stating that it will allow them to hold onto memories with their close ones.
What are your thoughts about this?

In issue #001, we covered how artists revolted against AI back in 2022.
This came after artists began pushing back against AI generated Art on ArtStation.
ArtStation is a well-known hub for digital artists. Think of it as the Instagram for these digital creators.
Now, will be see the same “vibe” from the web design community?
Take a look at the videos below presented by Linus:

What do you think - d’you reckon we’ll see web designers voice strong opinions against these new developments?
Here are the top 3 newsletters I’d recommend for the week:
I started this newsletter to help you stay on the pulse on the latest in AI & Immersive, but even I turn to other sources of information since news & developments have be coming out on turbo mode.
If you want more frequent news on AI on a daily basis, check out Ben’s Bites by Ben Tossell.

Having systems is one of the great ways to increase your productivity. I recently came across Matt Gray, and I’ve learnt a lot from him when it comes to audience building & systemising your processes. He’s you Systems Guy:

For the past few years, we’ve seen some of the craziest headlines regarding the markets and bad actor events come from Web3. If you’re interested in keeping up with the latest in crypto, here’s some milk🥛:

Developer’s Corner
Three projects I’m personally working on are Kirvanos (refer to last week’s Developer’s Corner segment), NotionDeck and SketchDiffusion.
NotionDeck is one of the projects on my list I’ve been eager to work on - it’s a web platform that adds interactivity to your Notion workspace. Notion users who use the platform for learning (Hints: flashcards, decks, and space repetition?) will benefit greatly from this.
SketchDiffusion is a project I thought of just yesterday. I bought the .com domain fresh of the Google Registrar. It’ll be a free Photoshop-esque project that turns your sketches into stunning images, with the power of AI.
I’ll be launch be launching them in reverse order (SketchDiffusion, NotionDeck and Kirvanos) due to project complexity.
Soon in a ProductHunt launch near you 🚀
I’m also on the quest to write 107 or so blog posts on my website.

My blog database in HubberOS
I’ll be covering my interests over there too, ex. AI & Immersive tech, but more frequently.
Why am I doing this, you ask?
Well, in order to grow my personal brand, I’ve got to put out content.
A newsletter is great, but from my lens, a blog has a higher chance of performing better since you get be in front of millions of people across the 🌍
Thee people can join us (me and you) every Wednesday to ride the latest waves in AI & immersive technology together 🌊
My plan is to write these 107 blogs, and cascade them by posting about 4 blogs per day. This roughly gives me about 27 weeks worth of content.
I won’t just focus on publishing them for those 27 weeks though.
I think I’ll do post about 4 per day for the first 2 weeks to get in the groove (let’s google know I’m posting quality blogs with great volume), and use it as backup 🔥 power when needed.
I’ve gotten the help of ChatGPT to generate a few of the blog titles. I’ll be writing them as it my personal touch is what will differentiate my blog content from other AI generated sites.
I think it’ll be better when you see the plan in action + see my insights & performance stats.
I’ll be posting more about this on Linkedin and Twitter soon. It’s a bit a juggle🤹♂️ handling the developer life and content creator life, but I’m getting the hand of it.
That’s it for today, crew 👋
See you next Wednesday :)
